Juan J. Alcaraz obtained his Engineering degree in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Valencia in 1999 and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT) in 2007. From 1999 to 2003 we worked for several telecommunication companies and, in 2004, he joined the UPCT. In 2013, he worked with prof. Miheala van der Schaar as a Postdoc Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has published multiple jounal and conference papers in the area of wireless communications, specifically on cellular networks, radio frequency identification (RFID), and vehicular communications. His current research interests are dynamic spectrum access, intelligent systems, and small cell networks.
